Healing With Apple Cider Vinegar: Mixtures And Methods

Applying Apple Cider Vinegar:

For Wounds

Apply it to your skin directly with an apple cider vinegar (ACV) soaked cloth to assist in balancing the skins pH, and disinfecting a wounded area. This method restores balance to your tissue and helps to rectify infections.

As A Mask

ACV makes for a terrific detoxifying and balancing mask. Simply mix 1 teaspoons of ACV with 2 teaspoons of Bentonite clay and between 1 to 2 teaspoons of purified water, and you’re in business. If you do this, make sure not to use any metal materials. I use a ceramic bowl, a plastic measuring spoons, and a batter spatula for mixing. Smooth the mixture onto your face, or whatever part of your body you wish, and in about 10-20 minutes, it should become very dry and tight. You can then rinse and wipe it off in the shower, or take it off with warm water and a washcloth. The mixture stimulates circulation, so your skin may appear a little red when you take it off.

Apple Cider Vinegar Mask

1 tsp ACV

2 tsps Bentonite Clay

1-2 tsps Purified Water

Consuming Apple Cider Vinegar:

Ingesting ACV can help to improve or resolve many physical issues. Here is a list of some of the benefits associated with consuming ACV:

-Balances your bodies pH

-Kills bad gut bacteria, and promotes the growth of good gut flora

            -Aids in resolving bloat

            -Soothes upset stomach

-Kills bad breath germs

-Detoxifies your liver, and in turn, your liver will work more efficiently at detoxing your body

-Helps to clear your lymphatic system (detoxification)

-Helps to regulate insulin levels (for diabetics)

Additionally, some say it helps with a soar throat or a congested nose, but I have tried the suggested mixtures, and they didn’t prove that helpful. In this post, I’m only including suggestions that I have personally tried, and have worked for me.

It’s important to note, not all ACV is the same. The one I use, which has the best benefits, and slightly less intense flavor is Bragg’s Organic Unfiltered ACV, with the Mother. The Mother is a collection of strands of pectin and enzymes, which settle at the bottom. These are not found in regular ACV, as regular ACV is often heated and over processed, which end up destroying those strands. The mother is very nutritious and beneficial to your gut and body overall.

Bragg's APC

Here are a few ways in which you can get it into your body without grimacing a sour face:

Include It With Salads

Various vinaigrettes are made with ACV. Experiment, and make your own with Bragg’s to get your daily dose.

Drink It Diluted

I typically have 1 cup of water mixed with 1 tablespoon of ACV, every morning, first thing in the morning. If you have a meal close to when you go to bed, drink this mixture after your meal, and it will help your body deal with processing your food, and leave you feeling lighter in the morning. You can also put it into a mixed drink to hide the taste.

1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Cup Clean Drinking Water

Apply It To Your Pets Coat

Applying ACV to your pets coat can help clean, condition, and delouse you furry friend. Flees will run for the hills if they get near the stuff. I use a mixture of 1 Tbsp ACV and about a 1/2 Cup of water. Then take a wash cloth, and absorb the mixture into it. After that, simply wipe the solution onto your pet with the dampened cloth.
